PAGOSA SPRINGS



Archuleta County covers 1,364 square miles that is mostly hilly or mountainous terrain. Elevations range from 6,000 feet to 13,150 feet. The San Juan River and three of its major tributaries (the Piedra River, Rio Blanco, and Navajo River) have their headwaters in the adjacent San Juan Mountains and cut through the county. The Town of Pagosa Springs lies in the San Juan River Valley at an elevation of 7,000 feet.
